Airport journeys need more than a terminal name
The M56 serves the Manchester Airport corridor and journeys toward south Manchester and Cheshire. A vehicle stopped on the motorway is a different collection from one in an airport car park, hotel forecourt or terminal approach. Tell us exactly which location applies before a truck is planned.
For a motorway stop, give M56, your direction and the nearest known junction or driver-location information. For an airport car park or hotel, give the full site name, entrance, parking level and any height barrier or gate arrangements. Airport access and any parking charges need checking separately.
Know whether you are on a traffic lane or in a stopping place
The M56 has sections where the former hard shoulder is used as a running lane. Do not assume that the leftmost lane is a safe place to wait. Follow the Highway Code and the signs and instructions at your location.
If you cannot reach a place of relative safety and cannot leave safely, keep your seat belt and hazard lights on and call 999 for the police immediately. Do not attempt repairs, put out a motorway warning triangle or move the car simply to answer a form question.
Collection and delivery for your actual vehicle
Tell us the exact make and model, transmission and whether it runs and drives for loading. Declare wheel damage, a locked parking brake or missing keys. Van size, remaining load and weight if known help us assess suitable transport.
For an onward trip to a garage, home or another agreed address, provide the full destination or postcode. If you have passengers or luggage-related requirements, describe them before booking; available passenger space and handling arrangements must be confirmed.
Confirm the arrangements before the journey continues
We check price, suitable equipment and availability against the exact pickup and destination. A flight deadline or garage closing time should be included in the notes, but a preferred window cannot be promised until the team confirms it. Our quote response aim is not a fixed motorway arrival guarantee.
Good to know before collection.
Can you recover from an airport car park?
We assess the request once the entrance, level, height restriction and vehicle condition are known. A standard flatbed cannot enter every car park, and access permission or charges may apply.
What should I enter if I am near the airport on the M56?
Choose motorway recovery, then give M56, direction and the exact stopping location. Do not use only a terminal or airport postcode for a vehicle on the motorway.
Can passengers travel with the truck?
State the number and any child-seat or accessibility needs. Space and suitability are checked before booking.
